The Chief Libationist asked slowly, “Now, speak. How do you suggest we fix this?”

King Taishan felt incredibly humiliated, but he did not reveal even a speck of it on his face. “It’s simple. Let me live, and everything will be fine.”

The Chief Libationist sneered. “Hah! You want us to let you live and continue conspiring against humanity?”

“I wouldn’t,” King Taishan argued. “I promise that I will never do anything to harm humanity from now on, much less become their enemy.”

“As you know, humanity has a need for Fengdu. It is thanks to Fengdu that there is order to life and death, and balance between yin and yang. Without this, humanity could not have prospered for long. Of course, Fengdu needs humans for the same reason. The reason Fengdu can exist for so long is because humans, creatures who are born in yang, return to yin when they die. King Taishan asked, “Did he tell you about the Four Evils? Yes, I think you already know.”

“In the past, the Earthly Sovereign failed to kill the Four Evils because of me. He had no choice but to suppress them. It won't be much longer before they break out of their seals either.”

“According to my estimations, it will happen in less than a decade.”

“A decade?” Everyone was shocked to hear this.

Ye Qing’s voice rang. “The seals should be lasting another twenty or so years.”

“Not at all.” King Taishan shook his head. “I am simply informing you all that the Four Evils will soon break out of their seals, and that you must be prepared for that inevitability.”

The Old Heavenly Master harrumphed, and thunder boomed murderously. “Haha! I can’t believe it. You

bragging to us about your misdeeds and telling us to clean up your mess. You must really want to die!”

“You misunderstand me. I am not finished yet.” King Taishan said smilingly, “The reason I’m telling you this is simple. I can resolve this crisis.”
